let's go back to July 1, shall we? time inside that chapel was sacred it was 45 min that I wish all who love you could have experienced hearing your crazy good speech that day after the impressive accolades shared by the speakers before you you, as the guest of honor, closed out with such grace and humility and the applause after you finished, how it got louder as it got longer felt to me like an equal mixture of applauding all you are mixed with an excitement for the goodness that lies ahead so many amazing things to be said about you, Kristy a child of God and lover of Him as well a devoted wife and mom a super-star professional and, a personal favorite, an intentional friend All you are is truly a gift to those lucky enough to have you in their life. This bundle... A favorite pic and one with varying emotions in different seasons only to return to one of merciful reconciliation. Little love is eleven today. The journey to here is beyond mysterious to me with big ups and big downs - yet even in the shifting sands, the joy along the way still far greater too than ever imagined. A strong theme since meeting her, a true joy of my life. Thank you, God, for carrying us. Thank you for the merciful gift I know her to be. Thank you for the prayers prayed for us before her arrival, along this path, and those to come. We treasure those. I ask that my heart cry for her and I reach your heart today and your great mercy cover and answer in ways I can't fathom.

i was teaching 2nd grade at Providence School in Jacksonville, FL - I'd been married for 5 years at this point and Chad wanted to move back to Indiana, he had reasons that made sense to me but this was also one of the few times, up to this point, I had a strong preference and that was to stay at this point in my life, i didn't see my lack of preference as weakness, I don't even know if I was aware enough to notice, but having preferences wasn't a big thing for me - if someone wanted to do something and I didn't have a blaring reason not to, I was content going along for the ride but this ride to IN hit my stride in a way that made me realize I had a stride - while we didn't have children, I saw myself continuing to teach at this school and I saw my children attending there this was Jan or Feb of that year and Chad and I decided we'd pray about it until Easter and make the decision then - I settled in on not really praying 🤣- rather told God I'd just be...
