beloved

i've had 2, two! posts in my head the last 2 days
i've never had 2 with the realization they combine

i'm up b/c i was gonna write
but neither is the subject

i remember,
feet planted
on that church floor

i remember
her words

"God wants to give you a Samuel"

i remember
more of her words

on one of the last days of school
the NEXT year following this
first encounter
she said,

"i had a dream"

she'd stopped me, as I lead my class to dismissal!
she was, for whatever reason, walking against the grain
and she shared that dream by telling me...

"you'll have 3
but the last one,
that's the Samuel"

your name, June
it's not Samuel in writing
it's the sweetest Samuel in gifting

and
in
this
gift
of life,
this side of
heaven,

you.are.the.best.path
i'd of dared imagined
us here in this season
a making of all things
new

grab my hand little light
my all's my whole-hearted
gift to you
a gift i'm
head-over-heels
excited I have
to give

XO,

Momma

So He got into a boat,
crossed over,
and came to His own city.

Then BEHOLD, they brought to Him
a paralytic lying on a bed.  When Jesus
saw their faith, He said to the paralytic,

"Son, be of good cheer;
your sins are forgiven you."

And at once
some of the scribes
said within themselves,
"This Man blasphemes!"

But Jesus,
knowing their thoughts, said,
"Why do you think evil in your hearts?
For which is easier, to say, ' Your
sins are forgiven you,' or to say,
'Arise, and walk'

But that you may know that the Son of Man
has power on earth to forgive sins"
- then he said to the paralytic,

"Arise, take up your bed,
& go to your own house.
"

And he arose
and departed
to his own house.

Now when the multitudes saw it,
they marveled and glorified God,
who had given such power to men.
