jonah's fate

lived by the feeling

the voices a screamin'

but truth & trust

it's the all of us
no room then
for the hatin'

condemnation rises

feel it when one says

"absolutely no reason

for hatin'"?

he came to save

and in doing it

took away

every

reason

to hate

ain't no reason

lest you be the one

but you be contrary then

for here and now

every hate field's plowed

there is not
one reason
to be found

loudest are the feelings

like a freight train mow ya down

culturally accepted even
but it's hurt underground

so sit still in the quiet

seek, you'll find the clearing

and "Jonahs", with the birds, will all
be disappearin'

hurt'll lead to anger
& anger to the hatin'
choice to make beneath truth's shade
don't be the reason hate's a breathing
live instead
on the sweetest bread
of trustin' much
