worth

northwest corner

it was my bedroom
where after a setback
i wept and cried out
against the opposing direction
that consumed my hopes

a dream with a bow
came and sowed
a seed planted
a seed grown

"removing siding,
replacing with brick"
the words settled in
like a needles prick

always my patience
shorter than His
dreams ignite in me
fizzled, left for rotten

Behold

returning in surprise
down a hill as I drive
12 years gone by
a purchase already made

northwest corner

once again
my head lay

hope present I feel it risin'
what He said to me
yet unexpected happens
hope deferred repeats

Is Your heart surety?
cue cuts at the autopsy
a quiet room, w/ just you and me
and my invisible soul's hearing

The Author
say to me

 the blueprint is a map
the journey a mystery
Faith birthed this time
in the land of the living

Through the LORD’s mercies
we are not consumed,
because His compassions fail not.
Lamentations 3:22
